Whitsunday Island Camping Connection Pty Ltd, operates “SCAMPER” a 10mtr aluminum barge, surveyed to carry up to 34 passengers plus luggage and is designed to run up on the beach and drop campers/gear at their chosen National Park camp site. SCAMPER is a high speed vessel, with a shallow draft and excellent maneuverability. We offer transfers to independent travelers with the opportunity to visit and enjoy the Whitsunday Islands National Park camp sites at their own pace. We operate 7 days per week (with some closure periods for Maintenance) from the water front at SHUTE HARBOUR, where SCAMPER is moored and our departure shed is located. Shute Harbour is located approx 9 kms south east of Airlie Beach. More

Not to go unmentioned is our exclusive snorkelling location inside Hardy Reef from our privately-owned and operated semi-submersible “Sundancer”. We cater to small numbers, adding a personalized touch, no crowds and the protection of this coral suspended lagoon to experience the myriad of fish life and vibrant corals from. All tours to this location are scheduled around a low tide, providing the first time snorkeler more confidence, while the more experienced can adventure and explore in this aquatic playground. Not limited by our popular Reef tours and scenic flights; we are also able to provide our tours from a number of island destinations, including the five star resort of Hayman Island and Peppers Palm Bay. We also provide inter-island transfers and the prospect to connect with domestic flights. The Whitsundays is a well established destination for bareboat chartering and complimenting the nature of our amphibious aircraft we can provide the idyllic opportunity of being collected from your yacht from selected locations – offering a truly indulgent experience. Whitsunday Airport is a regional airport and not to be confused with the domestic Whitsunday Coast airport, that both Virgin Blue and Jetstar service. The 850 metre Airlie Creek Track slowly winds up the hill behind Airlie Beach along a gravel path, featuring rare flora and fauna such as the Whitsunday Bottle Tree and the endangered Proserpine Rock Wallaby which are only found in this region. The track winds you through tranquil forest which is home to magnificent fig trees, sub tropical plants, beautiful native birds and ends up at scenic natural rock pools. The walk back offers views of the beautiful blue Coral Sea and Whitsunday Islands with leafy frames. More
