Throughout the year, Roslyn Packer Theatre Walsh Bay plays host to productions from its resident drama and dance companies, Sydney Theatre Company and Sydney Dance Company, as well as theatre, dance, comedy and live music from much-loved artists and companies from Australia and around the world. Ayers House is a prime example of colonial architecture and contains many important decorative features. Of major interest are the ornate painted finishes and examples of trompe l\'oeil on the walls and ceilings of all rooms, the large reception rooms designed for entertaining and the external symmetry of the house with its two matching bow windows. Today, Ayers House Museum is managed by the National Trust of South Australia. It houses a large collection of antique furniture, silver, paintings and costume, mostly dating from the nineteenth century, and corresponding to the period of Henry Ayers\' occupancy of the house. The triple award winning Historical Village is a self funded, all volunteer operation. Expect to take at least two hours to fully experience the site. Interactive demonstrations of Blacksmithing, Woodturning, Corn Shelling and Rope making on Sundays from 1pm ‘til 3pm. Make your own souvenir rope or pedal the lathe and make your own wooden souvenir. The Museum can be opened any time for groups and schools and there is an urn, cups, table and chairs for groups available at no extra cost. A new BBQ area is available to visitors/Groups at no extra cost including a hot water dispenser. See Australia’s highest court of appeal in a striking building by Lake Burley Griffin that features a seven storey high public hall. The High Court features three courtrooms and an impressive public hall adorned by murals depicting the development of the Australian nation and its Constitution. Interpreting and upholding the Constitution is one of the important functions of the High Court, together with interpreting federal law and hearing cases appealed from other courts. We boast among our alumni numerous household names in Australian theatre and film such as Bryan Brown, Baz Luhrmann, Judi Farr, and John Bell. We are, however, just as proud of the hundreds of talented amateur actors, directors, designers, lighting and sound specialists who have contributed to Sydney's unique little theatre over the years. Over the years the company has developed into a theatre providing a training ground for young actors and a place where those who love the theatre can meet, share and extend their knowledge of the performing arts. The Rocks Ghost Tours operate two hour walking tours of the historic Rocks area, the birthplace of Australia. Experience Gothic Rock Opera, Fast-Paced Comedy & Creative Insanity at the Gold Coast best theatre restaurant. The production puts a Vampire slant on the tradional Burlesque show. Swap the sequins for leather studs, the feathered fan with sparking power tools and you start to get the picture. Fast furious and hysterically funny. Off the main drag in a converted shopping centre, Dracula's doors creaked open with all odds stacked against it. Fortunately the locals fell in love with the eccentric comedy and intimate atmosphere and soon the venue became known for the long quse that would stretch to the end of the block. Eventually the cramped little venue was re furbished and became another Newman creation, The Comedy Clinic. The current location between Jupiters Casino and Pacific Fair shopping center, is a Gold Coast Landmark. A fully operational Ghost Train now takes customers into the theatre.
